Once I looked at the Russian parts I had as leftovers/extra/ spares from 25 yrs of Russian Rides. It seemed to be a complete motorcycle in parts. The DAFding is what is is . UraldneprsuzukiDAFhondaBMWVW was to much letters on the gastank. The sign on te tank is Lilacs. Ancient Japanses though. But then I could get a 800 cc DAF car engine for a bottle of whiskey. A friend gave me the BMW front forks an a front wheel. They almost fit in Ural/ Dnepr steering head plates. I found a Suzuki 1100 rearwheel. That had to be mated with the Russian end drive. The engine did not fit in the frame, so I widened it by welding downtubes from another Ural frame I had. I made the connection plate between engine and Ural box. I made the necessary clutch arrangements. At https://woesthoff.nl/ I salvaged an Honda Bol d’Or tank from the old Iron bin. The carburetors came from a Volkwagen Beetle 1600. I bought at 70 E a set of BMW R60/7 documents. So legally it became a BMW . I should have done more math. Since the dual monoshock set up with a pair of Hagon shocks bumped out the moment I sat on the bike. Exhaust system is made of diary quatilty stainless steel. Exhaust dampers were e 5 /piece. The bike was loud and slow. I did 80 km/hour on it. Painting was done with Action rattle cans.
